Your laundry room—if you’re lucky enough to have one—could be the key to adding serious value to your home. “If you have a space in the laundry room or other small area, stage it as a wrapping center with wrapping paper, bows, tape, scissors, etc. or a gardening center with some clay pots, a trowel, pruning shears, potting soil,” suggests Sheila MacDonald, a realtor with J Barrett and Company. “This turns a wasted space into an extra ‘luxurious’ space with very little money.”
