Tiësto’s in the house!
The superstar DJ — and recent investor in cardio-dance sensation 305 Fitness — has composed his first original mix for the brand’s new, full-length home-workout video, out Tuesday.
Tiësto’s thumping 30-minute set is part of the studio’s “305 at Home” series on YouTube, which offers fitness fans the chance to tone in their living room, free of charge. 305 Fitness — a high-energy aerobic workout that makes use of flashing lights and live DJs to simulate the classic club experience — has three brick-and-mortar locations in Manhattan, as well as outposts in Los Angeles, Washington DC and Boston.
The new mix is “personal” to Tiësto, as the Dutch electronic music pioneer exclusively told The Post. Rather than blending in songs from other artists, “It only contains my own tracks!”
But bringing on the beat for 305 is a little bit different than heading up a till-break-of-dawn dance party in Ibiza, he says. “Anything goes if you time the records right” at the club, he says, but “305 Fitness gave me special instructions for the breaks and the tempo,” corresponding to the flow of the signature, vigorous workout.
Tiësto — who made $33 million last year, according to Forbes’ estimate — says that he invested in 305 Fitness because it was “the perfect fit for my portfolio, allowing me to have authentic involvement.”
“I just love energetic music,” says Tiësto, whose hit “Jackie Chan,” in collaboration with fellow DJ Dzeko, Post Malone and Canadian rapper Preme, topped the charts this past summer. “And so do people who work out.”
