There were few dry eyes left inside St. George's Chapel on May 19 when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said their vows in the emotional ceremony, and it sounds like those heartfelt emotions carried their way through the reception. While Prince Harry's speech honored his late mother, gave a shout-out to Meghan's mother, and of course, praised his new wife, it was Prince Charles's speech to his son that had everyone in awe.
"Charles gave a brilliant speech," a guest told People. "Harry was very emotional." They added that the speech was "very sweet, very heartfelt," and talked about "'how proud' he was of the man his son had 'grown into.'"
After Meghan asked Prince Charles to walk her down the aisle, he was absolutely moved, even referencing it in his speech to the newlyweds. "He said he was very pleased to be asked [to walk Meghan down the aisle] and happy to help out," the site reports.
But are you ready for this? The 69-year-old heir to the throne expressed how overjoyed he was for his youngest son. "He ended it calling him, 'My darling old Harry, I'm so happy for you,'" and added "how he's really happy for them both."
Relive the beautiful moment when Prince Charles walked Meghan down the aisle, and just make sure you have some tissues nearby for moment when Harry whispered, "Thank you, Pa."
