Give your Halloween costumes a second life with this kitschy and fun Halloween DIY project for your home! The best part about this spooky mantle rag garland is that it's super easy and anyone can do it. Plus, you'll get a little bit of nostalgia hanging those old costumes from your mantle!
Here's what you'll need:
Orange string lights Old Halloween Costumes (or Halloween-inspired fabric) ScissorsStep 1
Take your fabric (or old Halloween costumes) and cut them into 1-inch strips. Depending on the length of the string lights, you will need about 150 – 200 strips of fabric.
Step 2
Take the strips and tie them around the lights.
Step 3
Continue to cut and tie fabric strips around the lights so that the knots are close together.
Pro tip: rotate the lights as you tie your knots so that it gives your garland a nice variety of texture.
