On Saturday, May 19, Meghan Markle officially became a member of the British royal family. The 36-year-old former Suits star married Prince Harry at St. George's Chapel in London, and from the second she emerged from Cliveden House hotel with her mother, Doria Ragland, we couldn't help but gasp. Clad in a gorgeous white dress by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy and wearing Queen Mary's diamond bandeau tiara, Meghan looked absolutely stunning as she made her way into the church and down the aisle to meet her groom. Later that evening, the happy couple changed into new looks and took off for their private evening reception, which was hosted by Prince Charles for the couple and their close friends and family. Meghan swapped her wedding gown for a sexy, sleeveless Stella McCartney gown.
Life has likely been a whirlwind for Meghan as of late; after all, not many women go from Hollywood actress to British royalty in the span of two years. After beginning her relationship with Harry back in 2016, Meghan kept a low profile as the two met up for secret rendezvous around the world. Finally, they made their first public appearance as a couple at the Invictus Games in September 2017, and they announced their engagement two months later. Since Harry popped the question (over a roast chicken dinner, no less), Meghan has spent Christmas with the queen, embarked on royal engagements with her brother- and sister-in-law, been baptized into the Church of England, and even undergone royal training, including a staged kidnapping.
